Recommended Use For remotely controlled locking of swinging doors in areas that require a full range of security applications.
Operation
The AIM 6000 Series is a positive locking rotary deadlock that is jamb mounted. The mechanism locks automatically when door is closed. Push-button control may be placed at any convenient location. Momentary contact push button energizes a heavy-duty solenoid that retracts the lock bar and opens the door. Unlike other solenoid locks, door operates even when pressure is placed against the door exceeding other manufacturers' motorized lock performance. Lock operation is quiet. |

The AIM Model 6000 has many features that make it the primary product for any detention facility locking system:
Fire Rated
The Model 6000 is listed with a 3-hour fire rating by Warnock Hersey #WHI-495-0999
Security
The Model 6000 can be used on swinging doors in minimum, medium, or maximum security applications. The lock is adaptable to builders hardware, mogul and large prison key cylinders for manual operation.
Manual Operation
The Model 6000 may be keyed on one or both sides of the door for manual operation. The Model 6000 is also available as a manual-only detention lock with one of the multiple key cylinder applications.
Steel and Stainless Steel Materials
Lock case is made of 3/16" steel and interior lock components are made of the highest quality machined steel. Cover is made of 10 gauge stainless steel with a satin finish.
Long Service Life
The Model 6000 (and all rotary locking systems) is designed to work with the door motion instead of against it. The lock is designed to remain trouble-free for the lifetime of the facility.
Indication May be Interlocked
The standard internal lock position indication switch may be interconnected with door position switch. (recommended)
Fail-Safe Model
Lock functions normally unless power is interrupted either by power failure or by a switch. Lock then opens automatically to provide instant unattended release of lock. Lock automatically returns to normal operation when power is restored.
